So, this week I am excited as crap to say I will have a booth at the Bonnaroo 2010 Music and Arts festival!!!! I also am really excited to say that i was asked to do the official poster for Phoenix's performance at the festival...its 18x24, edition of 300 and printed with metallic silver ink! There will be a few other new releases as well...a new poster for the Avett Brothers show in Savannah, GA with an art print version available as well. Also the release of my new Peacock art print...this one's purdy in person...and a few new status serigraph t-shirts for those of you that like to wear your art! I hope anyone going to the festival that reads this will swing by and say hi...I can't wait!

So...I have a BIG announcement! So this year marks the 5th Anniversary of status serigraph. I have been making posters since 2005 with my first poster being for a local Knoxville band named Mountain Soul...Since then I have done posters for some of the biggest bands touring today. Some of the people I have done work for are Phish, My Morning Jacket, Ween, Jack Johnson, the Avett Brothers, and Wilco. I also have done a few posters for a very unique up and coming band named Black Moth Super Rainbow...the second i heard these guys i knew i wanted to do posters for them! Well to mark my 5th anniversary I wanted to do something special, something different, and something a lot of fun. So, I decided to team up with a local venue (the Square Room) and put together an art show/concert. i think this is the very best possible way that i could ever celebrate this landmark and i hope many of you can join me. Performing at the party will be Tobacco. Tobacco is the brains behind Black Moth Super Rainbow...he was the main songwriter and vocalist for the band, and has since been concentrating more on his solo project, Tobacco. His new album Maniac Meat just came out and features 2 tracks with the one and only Beck. Its not too often you see beck as a guest on an album...huh? I hope all of you can be there...it's on Friday October 1st, 2010 and will include and art show/poster sale/concert. I think it's going to be amazing...you can get tickets at thesquareroom.com starting this Friday...they are only $10 - See you there!

So...status serigraph is moving to a new studio space, and you know what moving means, cleaning. So we are having a spring cleaning mystery tube sale...tubes will include 4 prints....this could include posters, test prints, variants, art prints and even sold out editions. The tubes will be pre-packed and orders will be filled at random. Tubes will be $40 and will go on sale for a limited time here. So this week, i have a LOT going on.... First off, I have posters for the Disco Biscuits show in Richmond, VA. These are VERY limited...only 50 for both nights shows...but I have to say, they look really stellar in person. They are 18x24 and printed full bleed. If you are going to the show make sure to grab one, or if you just dig the poster, I'll have them up in my store the day after the shows! Secondly, I have the West Coast run of posters for the Avett Brothers...there are 5 posters on this run and each one will go on sale the day after the show. Well This week i have once again been asked to do a poster for one of my favorite clients...WEEN! Gene and Dean are back on tour and they are hitting up Asheville, NC (One of my favorite cities as well!). These will be available at the show and then afterwards in my store.
